Our Mission
Our mission is to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable school bus transportation for all of our customers each and every time they utilize our services and we aim to do so in a cost effective manner. The transportation industry is complex and ever-changing, however we strive to conduct our operations in a transparent manner for our customers. Read on to learn about how four generations of the Eschbach family grew the business to become an integral and contributing member of the communities in which we conduct business and live.

Our History
Over four generations, Eschbach Bus has grown from produce trucking to becoming a leading provider of school transportation and charter services in Lancaster County.
In the Beginning
The Founding of Eschbach Bus Service
Initially our main business was trucking commodity products such as milk and produce.
A Little Bit Later
David Eschbach Sr.
David was an educator, school administrator, and PennDot official. He shifted the company’s focus to providing school bus services for children in Southern Lancaster County.
The Next Generation
Stoney Eschbach
Stoney expanded the business to become the largest school busing operation in Southern Lancaster County.
Third Generation
David Eschbach III
Dave has been involved in the school bus industry for almost 50 years. He has been successful in expanding the fleet, office and maintenance facilities and has been a trusted partner to local school districts for many years. “Davey” and the big yellow bus go hand in hand with members of the community. Dave has spent the last 8 years teaching his son-in-law everything he knows about the school bus business, all while gradually phasing out of the business as he approaches a well-deserved retirement.
Today
Jake Menapace
Jake has been running the day-to-day operations since 2010 and was promoted to President in 2014. He has focused on sustaining a high level of service for all of Eschbach’s customers while utilizing technology and process improvements to streamline operations.
